About this blog

This blog is in conjunction with our website www.emealsforyou.com ; a web-based recipe and meal planning site.

We firmly believe families have gotten away from the habit of eating meals together; the downside of which is missed opportunities to communicate with the members of your family. Family meal time was always a chance to voice opinions, find out what the kids are thinking and doing, and form bonds in a non-threatening environment. Families and friends would gather in expectation of good food and more importantly, good conversation.

In today’s fast-paced world most of us find ourselves desperately short on time, and sometimes patience. Meals are bought in drive-in windows and consumed rapidly in our car seats. Add to this the ever-present sound devices of today’s world and parents find themselves in a total communication blackout with their kids. Many don’t realize this as they themselves are busy yaking away on their cell phones. This is bad for the family, bad for our health and bad for our wallets. emealsforyou.com was created to get families back to the table, at least as many times as possible per week.

Now back to this blog. Here we will provide occasional recipes, answer questions regarding cooking techniques and provide support in your efforts; whether it be to get your family all in one place to share a meal or your own goal to become more fit and healthy. We are affiliated with Lisa Ronco, a certified Dietitian, Nutritionist and personal trainer. Lisa will provide feedback to your questions as well as develop healthy eating plans.

Here is where you come in. Submit your comments and questions and we will make every effort to assist you through your efforts. Whether you have a cooking question, i.e. Just what does blanch the vegetables mean; to my teenager just decided she is a vegetarian, we can help. Having a dinner party and stumped as to what to have, we can help. Just need a place to vent, have at it!!!
